OSHP troopers investigating fatal accident in Johnston Township

JOHNSTON — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers responded to fatal crash on state Route 88 in Johnston Township shortly after 11 a.m. today.

Troopers said the driver Silas Titchnell Jr., 61, of Kinsman veered off the road and hit a ditch and a small bridge. Officials pronounced Titchnell dead at the scene. Titchnell was not wearing a seat belt and officials believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
