Any Given Child program in Warren

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has chosen Warren as the 20th site for Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child, a program that creates a long-range arts-education plan for students in grades K-8.

The program will incorporate existing resources of Warren City Schools, local arts organizations and the Kennedy Center to create a plan for arts education specific to the city. Any Given Child seeks to bring access and equity to each student’s arts education.

Ghost Walk 2015

WARREN

Ghost Walk 2015, presented by the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 23 and 24 in downtown Warren.

Ghost Walk is a 1-mile historical walking tour that begins at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. NW. Guided tours, which leave every 10 minutes from the church, include stops along Warren’s Millionaire’s Row, where actors portray the restless spirits of people who once lived in Trumbull County.

The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Talk on gangsters

POLAND

The next Beaver Police Crime Watch meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at Shepherd of the Valley, 9111 Sharrot Road.

Allan R. May will be the guest speaker. May is an authority on the history of organized crime in the United States and will be speaking on gangsters and organized crime in the Mahoning Valley.

May will have some of his books for sale at the end of the program. His website can be found at www.allanrmay.com. Books will range in price from $20 to $28.
