The Purple Raiders (5-0, 4-0) had three players rush for more than 100 yards and Mount Union had a 415-13 advantage on the ground. Logan Nemeth ran for 142 yards and two TDs on 22 carries, Bradley Mitchell had 114 yards and a TD and Taurice Scott gained 106 yards on just five carries. One of Scott’s runs went for 53 yards and a TD. Jamal Johnson ran for two scores for the Purple Raiders. Justin Magazine spoiled Mount Union’s bid for a shutout with a 1-yard TD run for the Polar Bears (3-2, 2-2) with 14 seconds to play.

Jake Schaefer was 23 of 34 for 283 yards and four touchdowns as the Blue Streaks (4-1, 3-1) routed the Fighting Quakers (1-4, 0-4)). Two of Schaefer’s TD passes went for 6 and 1 yards to Marshall Howell and the other was a 29-yarder to Jordan D’Orazio. Howell also opened the game with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Ro Golphin ran for 107 yards and two TDs on 10 carries for John Carroll. Justin Lee had an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Wilmington.

Tyler Moeglin threw touchdown passes of 8 and 43 yards to Bryon Cook as the Yellow Jackets (3-2, 3-1) routed the Pioneers (1-4, 1-3). Moeglin was 15 of 22 for 22 yards. He also ran for a TD. Adam Blake ran for 55 yards and a score for Baldwin Wallace. Baldwin Wallace limited Marietta to just 213 total yards.

Thomas More 44, Geneva 14
CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.
C.T. Tarrant ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns and Thomas More (6-0, 4-0) cored three third-quarter TDs to pull away from Geneva (2-3, 1-2). Javid Ellis ran for 77 yards and both TDs for the Golden Tornadoes. The Saints picked off Geneva quarterback Aaron Channing twice.
Case Western Reserve 45, Waynesburg 14

Rob Cuda passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 63 yards and three more scores as the Spartams (4-1, 4-0) beat the Yellow Jackets (2-4, 1-3). Cuda completed 25 of 28 passes. Jake Dougherty threw a TD pass and Austin Wilson ran for a score for Waynesburg. Jerry Lawman (Poland) ran for 30 yards on 12 carries for the Yellw Jackets.

WASHINGTON, PA.
Washington & Jefferson quarterbacks Pete Coughlin and Alex Rowse were a cmbined 29 of 32 for 379 yards and each threw two TD passes as the Presidents (4-1, 2-1) crushed the winless Wolverines (0-5, 0-3). Ryan Ruffing ran for 102 yards and two TDs for W&J.

GREENVILLE, PA.
Bryson Paulinellie had a 56-yard punt return for a touchdown and caught TD passes of 33 and 2 yards as the Titans (4-2, 3-1) rolled to their most one-sided victory in 15 years. Dominique McKinley rushed for a career-high 186 yards and a TD on 16 carries against the Tomcats (1-5, 0-4).

PITTSBURGH
Andrew Hearson passed for 222 yards and four touchdowns and Sam Benger ran for 201 yards and three scores as the Tartans (2-3, 2-2) beat the Bison (2-4, 2-3). Bethany quarterback Lincoln Reyes passed for 368 yards and four TDs, but was intercepted five times in the loss.

Pittsburgh 26, Virginia 19
PITTSBURGH
Nate Peterman threw for 222 yards and two scores, Qadree Ollison added one on the ground and Pittsburgh held off Virginia. The Panthers improved to 4-1 for the first time since 2009 and 2-0 in the ACC after surviving a late scare from the Cavaliers (1-4, 0-1). Virginia had the ball with a chance to tie it in the final seconds but Matt Johns’ fourth-down pass to T.J. Thorpe sailed wide. Johns completed 17 of 33 for 209 yards and a touchdown with an interception. The Cavaliers have dropped 12 straight road games dating back to 2012. Pitt never trailed and appeared on the verge of an early blowout but needed a late stand to preserve its best start in six years.

Reid Worstell threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Male in the second OT and Worstell’s two-point conversion pass to Matt Matuska won it for the Cavaliers (1-5, 1-5). The teams were tied at 24 at the end of regulation after the Oilers (3-3, 3-2) were unable to maintain a 24-14 third-quarter lead.

Terrance Dye ran 43 yards for a touchdown just 19 seconds into the game and later caught a 12-yard TD pass from quarterback Shaye Brown as the Wildcats (4-2, 3-2) routed the Pioneers (0-6, 0-6). Brown was 15 of 18 for 185 yards and three TDs.

Denison 17, Hiram 6

The winless Terriers (0-5, 0-4) took a 6-0 lead into the second half, but couldn’t pull off an upset of the unbeaten Big Red (5-0, 4-0). Denison scored just 41 seconds into the third quarter when Canaan Gebele threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Dushawn Brown. The extra point gave the Big Red their first lead, 7-6. Gebele ran for a 6-yard TD late in the third and Conor Dunn kicked a 22-yard field goal early in the fourth for Denison. Gebele was 16 of 21 for 178 yards and Brown was his favorite target, with 11 catches for 161 of those yards. Gebele also ran for 49 yards on 13 attempts. Danny Robinson led Hiram with 109 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, on 26 attempts.
