Canfield’s doubles team of Hannah Cianciola and Ashley Kaleel have advanced to the district semifinals and will play today for a state berth. Cianciola-Kaleel advanced by defeating Ricky River’s Lucy Grierson-Grace Sullivan (6-2, 6-1) and Walsh Jesuit’s Skye Harwood-Megan Hissong. Canfield’s semifinal match is against Avon’s Naddi Nakon-Ana Lopez. The other semifinal has North Canton Hoover’s Lynn Daugherty-Sydney Bergman against Green’s Anne Zivick-Maria Zivick.

Poland’s doubles team of Marissa Ricciardi and Audrey Schweers has advanced to today’s semifinals. The opponent will be Hathaway Brown’s Isabella Daverio and Rebecca Wolf. Poland advanced by defeating Laurel’s Amanda Shao-Priyan Khadilkar (6-1, 6-3) and Orange’s Emily Stankovic-Michelle Tokman (6-3, 6-3). None of the Mahoning Valley’s singles players advanced to today’s competition. Warren JFK’s Kaytlin Marlatt defeated Canton Central Catholic’s Jane Anderson (6-0, 6-0) but then lost to Hathaway Brown’s Lauren Gillnov (6-0, 6-0). Brookfield’s Autumn Kirela lost to Gilmour’s Claudia Althans (6-0, 6-0). Poland’s Sophie Delatore lost to Hawken’s Stephanie Shulman (6-0, 6-0).
