Marco Rubio to visit the Valley Oct. 16

SALEM — U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, one of the leading Republican candidates for president, will visit the Mahoning Valley on Oct. 16.

Rubio of Florida will stop at a gas processing facility in Salem in the afternoon, said Mahoning County Republican Party Chairman Mark Munroe.

Rubio will be the first Republican candidate for the 2016 presidency to campaign in the Mahoning Valley.
