Blaq Rose at Monteen’s

Blaq Rose, with Youngstown’s Total Package Band, will perform Friday at Monteen’s, 3807 Belmont Ave., Liberty, starting at 8 p.m. Call 330-759-3699 for information. Blaq Rose, aka Youngstown native Roosevelt Griffin Jr., is a platinum producer/songwriter and singer with Levert II. Formerly of Whoz Who, he has written and produced for K-Ci and Jojo, Jodeci, Anthony Hamilton and Dr. Dre. He is currently working on a new Levert II CD with member Marc Gordon of the original Levert group and newly added member Parrice Smith.
