Power restored in Liberty Township

Power has been restored to 2,200 First Energy customers in Liberty Township and Girard, following an outage that hit shortly before 3 p.m. today.

The majority of those affected were in Liberty, though about 250 Girard customers also lost power, according to Mark Durbin, a FirstEnergy spokesman. The outage resulted from a blown fuse at a substation, according to the company.
