Girls troop schedules informational meeting

American Heritage Girls Troop OH0537 is hosting an informational meeting for parents and their daughters ages 5 to 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, 1151 E. 6th St., near Salem High School.

The meeting will include a presentation about the AHG program, troop meeting information, a question-and-answer session and registration.

American Heritage Girls is a Christian-based Scouting-like organization, which is divided into several levels based on age. Girls participate in troop activities that focus on developing leadership, life skills, character, teamwork, confidence and spiritual development. The girls work toward earning 80 badges through a variety of activities and community service projects.
