BOYS SOCCER

Poland 7, Niles 0

NILES

Poland’s seven goals were scored by Joe Shields, Marcus Trevis, Matthew Holsinger, Reed McCreery, and Matt Slepski, with Shields and Holsinger both scoring twice. Trey Medvec, Trevis, and Holsinger all contributed assists. Bryan Montgomery had one save in the shutout for Poland, and Eric Pappada had 15 saves for Niles.

South Range 2, Salem 0

SALEM

Brandon Youngs scored both goals for South Range, and the Raiders goalkeeper Brant Rothbauer had five saves for the shutout. Salem goalkeeper Cody Ewing made 10 saves.

Lordstown 4, Badger 2

KINSMAN

Garrett Behner scored three goals for Lordstown, and the final goal was scored by Michon Peterson. Both Behner and Peterson had assists, and Ethan Radtka contributed the other two assists. Collin Himes had three saves for Lordstown. For Badger, Garrett Kellogg scored both goals, and Matthew Hecker tallied 13 saves. Lordstown is currently 10-3-1, and tied for first in NAC.

GIRLS SOCCER

Canfield 3, Boardman 1

BOARDMAN

Ana Kilbert scored the first goal for Canfield (11-0-1) off an assist from Haylee Klacik. Klacik went on to score the second goal with an assist from Elizabeth Pilloli, and the third goal was scored by an own goal. Olivia VanDevender had two saves for Canfield. Boardman’s only goal was scored by Sara Downie, and Camille Holzschuh had 14 saves for the Spartans. JV: Canfield 7, Boardman 1.

South Range 3, Beaver Local 3

LISBON

Mackenzie Ferenchak scored two goals for the Raiders, and Casey Lindstrom scored one. Kameron Hobbs and Rachel Maynard each contributed an assist for South Range as well. No stats were reported for Beaver Local.

Howland 3, Harding 0

WARREN

Isabella Merlo, Leah Pollifrone, and Sara Ciletti scored Howland’s goals with assists from Napier Ramsey and Morgan Scott. Kamryn Buckley made three saves for Howland, after which Ariel Takat stepped in to play and made one save. Bella Vankirk and India Stovell both played in goal for Harding, with Vankirk recording five saves and Stovell making one. Howland is now 6-6-2. JV: Howland 2, Harding 0.

Jessica Miller and Brianna Stackpole both scored for Poland. Marissa Grande scored the lone goal for Hubbard. JV: Poland, 6-0.

SALEM

The teams played to a scoreless tie. Quakers goalie Katie Moore recorded seven saves.

Niles 7, Edgewood 0

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP

Bethany Rasile and Hannah Ward each scored two goals and tallied three assists as Niles (10-2-1) downed Edgewood. Kameron Delvecchio, Madison McGuire and Bella Reigle also recorded goals for the Red Dragons, while Jaycee Ward recorded an assist. Brittany Kendzerski had 20 saves for Edgewood. HOWLAND

Cassie Murcko led the Tigers (9-9) with 25 kills and Lexi Miner recorded 39 assists as Howland downed Poland (11-8). Cordray Sundstrom paced the Bulldogs with 10 kills, while Jen Eich notched 19 assists, 13 points and three aces. Maria Nuzzi also led Howland with 13 points and two assists. JV: Howland, 2-1.
