Rainn 'doing very well,' sheriff says
WARREN — Sheriff Thomas Altiere says Rainn Peterson, the toddler found Sunday evening after being missing two days from her North Bloomfield home, is apparently "doing very well, a little dehydrated."
Altiere, speaking to reporters today, said the investigation into the child's disappearance continues to arrive at a clearer picture of where the child was throughout the ordeal.
The child, who is 26 months old, "can only say a few words," so she probably won't be able to assist much, Altiiere said.
The Trumbull County Children Services agency is participating in the investigation into the child's disappearance, "as per usual," CSB Executive Director Tim Schaffner said.
The girl was found by a volunteer on a 4-wheeler.
She was about a half mile from her home and would have had to walk through some thick brush to get there from her great-grandparents' house on state Route 45 in North Bloomfield, where she was last seen Friday evening, Altiere said.
