Cole Frank and Brandon Youngs each had a hat trick as the Raiders beat the Beavers. Landon Baer also scored for South Range. Brooks Thomas had four assists and Lucas Beabout had one. Raiders goalie Brant Rothbauer had seven saves and Luke Schaefer had one. Drew Thiess scored Beaver Local’s only goal and Dean McPeek had the assist.

Kyle Gentin and Matthew Hardman scored goals to lead the Bulldogs (13-0), the state’s sixth-ranked boys soccer team in Division I. Hardman and Kyle Gentin had assists for Green. Christian Hume had the goal for the Cardinals (8-2-1) and Tyler Young had an assist. Jeff Joseph had 10 saves for Canfield, while Christian Galayda had six for Green. JV: Canfield, 1-0.

Taylor Meier and Ana Kilbert scored goals as the Cardinals (10-1) beat the Minutemen. Anita Mancini had an assist for Canfield. Olivia VanDevender had 2 saves for the Cardinals. Ava Jakab had a goal for Revere off an assist by Alexa Langenfeld. Minutemen goalkeeper Courtney McClellan had eight saves. JV: 1-1 tie.

Hannah Ward scored two goals and Bethany Rasile the other for the Red Dragons (9-2-1). Rasile, Ward and Mackenzie Cowell had assists and Vada Flannery and Alivia Whisler combined for the shutout. For the Raiders (5-8), Alexis Snowden made 18 saves. JV: Niles, 4-0.

YOUNGSTOWN

Jen Woodford’s goal on a penalty kick was the only score as the Irish beat the Eagles. Ursuline’s Jordyn Kenneally made two sabves. Hubbard’s Alexis Cobin had three saves and Leah Munnell had two.

Alyssa Osborne score two goals for the Braves 9-4 (7-2 Northeastern Athletic Conference) and Stacey Elser, Lexie Skertic and Chloe Williams each added a goal. Elser and Williams contributed two assists each for Badger. Theresa Gorospe had eight saves for the Braves and Genny Foltz had four for the Mustangs.

Canfield’s doubles team of Hannah Cianiola-Ashley Kaleel won the section tournament by defeating North Canton Hoover’s team of Lynn Daugherty-Sydney Bergman. The scores were 6-3, 6-1. In the semifinals, Canfield’s team defeated Hoover’s team of Makayla Sutter-Haillie Hunt by score of 6-4, 6-4. Canfield has the top seed for next weekend’s district tournament,

BOARDMAN

Warren JFK freshman Kaytlin Marlatt won the singles sectional by defeating Lakeview junior Carlie Stein, 6-2, 6-1. In doubles, Poland’s team of Marissa Ricciardi-Audrey Schweers won by defeating Warren JFK, 6-4, 6-1. Also advancing to the district tournament are Brookfield’s Autumn Kirila (singles), Lakeview’s Lauren Paczak-Anna Garvin and Cardinal Mooney’s Hannah Matthews-Isabella Francisco.

BERLIN CENTER

Sarah Obradovich made 23 digs and 27 kills, and scored 11 points with five aces to lead the Falcons (8-9). Jayla Crawley made four blocks while Natalie Lynn made five kills. Alyssa Kovacs scored nine points. For the Blue Devils (11-6), Jenny Stubbs made 26 digs, Lanie Grope made seven kills and Alexis Miller made 14 kills. Elizabeth Bowman scored 17 points with six aces and Tiana Nicopalis scored 12 points with two aces.

Lynnie Ritter led the Raiders (13-4) with 12 kills, four blocks, three digs and five points. Codi Taylor contributed three kills, six digs, 16 points and seven aces while Cara Mason made five kills and two blocks. For the Bluejays (7-9), Sierra Huff made nine digs, 10 kills and four blocks while Julissa Tomaino had 11 assists, four kills and nine points. JV: South Range, 2-0.
