HEALTH CARE
Cory Parish was selected as the next associate director for Shepherd of the Valley’s Boardman community.
Parish completed his administrator in training at Boardman Shepherd of the Valley in April 2012. He went on to work in a mental-health facility in Geneva, Ohio, and spent the past two years at a nursing home in Cleveland.
FARMING
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources recently recognized five families representing each region of the state as winners of the 2015 Conservation Farm Family Awards at the Farm Science Review.
Since 1984, the Conservation Farm Family Awards program has recognized 166 Ohio farm families for their exemplary efforts conserving soil, water, woodland, wildlife and other natural resources on the land they farm. Conservation farm families also host a variety of educational programs, opening their farms to schools, scout groups, farm organizations and others.
Locally, Richard Thompson of Heritage Hill Farm in Trumbull County won. Thompson has more than 5,000 acres, and his major crops are corn, soybeans, wheat and hay.
CORPORATE AWARD
Cohen & Company, a regional certified public accountant firm based in Cleveland, recently won the 2015 Pinnacle Award of Summit County in the private- sector midsize company category. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that are examples of corporate responsibility in Summit County.
REALTY
Susan Colla-Morgione of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services was included in the 2015 Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club for Pinnacle Performance. This award is for sales associates who achieve a sales volume of more than $7.5 million during the past year.
DENTAL
New Castle, Pa.-based The North American Dental Group earned the position of 579 on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. This is the third-consecutive year the group appeared on the list.
This ranking also lands NADG 12th on the magazine’s top Pennsylvania companies.
