Havrillas’ 50th honored with family dinner

YOUNGSTOWN

Andrew R. and Elaine J. Havrilla of Youngstown were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner Sept. 27 at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton. It was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Their children are Andrew J. (Karleen) Havrilla of Canfield and Richard A. (Stephanie) Havrilla of Boardman. The family includes six grandchildren.

Mr. Havrilla and the former Elaine J. Maruskin, also known as Josie, were married Sept. 18, 1965, at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown.

The couple are members of St. Mary Byzantine Church.

Mrs. Havrilla worked in food service for the Youngstown Board of Education and retired in 2007.

Mr. Havrilla worked for the Youngstown Police Department, retiring in 1989 as a captain. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
