The Purple Raiders (4-0, 3-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) scored on all nine of their possessions to extend their regular-season win streak to 97 games. Senior quarterback Taurice Scott threw for two scores (10-of-18 passing for 175 yards) and ran for two scores (five carries 88 yards). Junior running back Bradley Mitchell ran for a season-high 131 yards on 11 carries and senior running back Logan Nemeth had three rushing touchdowns. Seniors Tom Lally had nine tackles and a sack while Will Hiteshue and Jonathan Gonell also had nine tackles. Capital is 2-2, 2-1.
Westminster 26, Carnegie-Mellon 16
NEW WILMINGTON, PA.
Sophomores Dominique McKinley and Paul Columbo rushed for 113 and 110 yards, respectively, for the Titans (3-2, 2-1 Presidents Athletic Conference) in their homecoming game. Sophomore Kimu Kim (Canfield) scored a game-high two touchdowns on the ground, while tallying 53 yards off 13 carries. The Titans defense held Carnegie Mellon running back Sam Benger to 83 yards. Coming into today’s game, Benger led the nation in all divisions in rushing with 233.7 yards per contest. Junior Mac Quinn led the Titans defense with a career- and game-high 16 tackles (10 solo), to go along with one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble. Westminster senior Rich Ellebie (Kennedy Christian) registered a game-high two sacks. The Tartans are 1-3, 1-2.

LATROBE, PA.
Sophomore quarterback Tyler Donahue ran for 270 yards and passed for 165 — all in the first half — as the Bearcats cruised over Thiel at Chuck Noll Field.

WAYNESBURG, PA.
The win made 11th-year head coach Rick Shepas the leader on the Waynesburg career coaching wins list. Shepas improved his overall collegiate head coaching record to 66-43. Jake Dougherty completed 13-of-22 attempts for 175 yards and two scores. Daniel Davis tied for the game lead with four catches, which he converted for 47 yards. Kevin Barnes paced all players with 77 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Senior Jerry Lawman (Poland) carried the ball 24 times for a game, season and personal collegiate-high 148 yards and three scores. Senior linebacker Aaron Palmer notched his second-straight game with double-digit tackles. He racked up a game-high 12 tackles, eight of which were solo stops, and 1.5 of the Jackets’ nine total tackles for loss. Junior defensive back Drew Glotfelty notched eight solo tackles as part of a 10-hit day, while Russell Siess picked up two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. The victory was Waynesburg’s (2-3, 1-2 PAC) sixth-straight over Grove City (0-4, 0-2).

Quarterback Pete Coughlin tied a school record with 58 pass attempts in the loss and threw for 360 yards, the second-highest total of his career. He completed 34 of those attempts and tossed one touchdown, however was tagged for four interceptions. Coughlin tied the pass attempt mark set by Bobby Swallow in 2008, also at Thomas More (3-1, 1-1 PAC). Wide receiver Daniel Lis was Coughlin’s favorite target, matching his career high with 11 catches for a game-high 155 yards. Ryan Ruffing nabbed eight passes for 49 yards and Jesse Zubik made seven receptions for 115 yards and a score. Wabash 38, Hiram 0
CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND.
Senior Nate Eaton led the Hiram offensive attack, catching eight passes for 66 yards for the Terriers (0-4, 0-3 NCAC). Sophomore quarterback Alec Wells threw for 70 yards and junior Danny Robinson rushed for 34. Junior Kyle Burchett recorded 13 tackles and senior D.D. Fleetion (Youngstown/East) had 12.

Sophomore Anthony Canganelli rushed for 74 yards and three touchdowns, while senior receiver Bryan Erb caught seven passes for 107 yards and another pair of scores for Case (3-1, 1-2 PAC). Sophomore quarterback Rob Cuda passed for 210 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 88 yards.
