McKenna, Kowalewski wedding set

The parents of Amanda McKenna and Andrew Kowalewski, both of Greensboro, N.C., are announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding. The parents of the bride-to-be are Lisa McKenna of Girard and the late James McKenna, and parents of the prospective groom are Martin and Sandra Kowalewski of Gibsonia, Pa.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at St. Mary Church in Sharpsburg, Pa., and a reception will follow at the Mayernik Center in Pittsburgh. Invitations are being issued for both events.

The bride-elect graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a doctorate degree in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist at Morehead Memorial Hospital, Eden, N.C.

Mr. Kowalewski earned a bachelor’s degree in emerging technology and multimedia at SRU. He is a regional marketing director for Signature Property Group in Greensboro.
