Institute for Ministry

YOUNGSTOWN

The Diocese of Youngstown Office of Religious Education will host an information meeting on Loyola University New Orleans Institute for Ministry Extension Program (LIMEX) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. James Church Hall, 50 Rosemont Road, North Jackson.

The information includes course requirements, tuition, spiritual formation and application for this graduate religious education and pastoral studies degree and certificate program in the diocese. This program of graduate ministry education is for lay, religious and ordained people who are engaged in church ministry or for laity who want to address themselves to their ministry in the world.

Students take the core courses in a learning group led by a Loyola certified facilitator. Sessions for each course employ a learning design in which downloadable class lectures and other readings are correlated with the participant’s experience by means of reflective processes. Students also choose online courses.

Registration for the meeting is requested. Call the diocese’s Office of Religious Education at 330-744-8451 or send an email to tsauline@youngstowndiocese.org. Visit www.lim.loyno.edu.

Ignatian retreat

canfield

The Ignatian Retreat in Daily Life is a program designed for people with hectic lives; an unconventional retreat helps them develop a relationship with God.

The retreat lets participants continue with everyday activities. It involves 30-45 minutes a week for eight weeks in the company of a spiritual director, who will help them to discover how to tap into their own personal relationship with Jesus. Meetings will be at the Ursuline Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Road.

For information or registration, contact Eileen W. Novotny at 330-533-3831 or ewalshnovotny@zoominternet.net.
