Flickinger named to chamber position

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber announced that Rachel L. Flickinger has joined the organization as the vice president of Sales & Services.

Flickinger spent the past 15 years working in the telecommunications industry, most recently as the contact center manager for Summit Advantage in Akron, where she launched the company’s first outbound contact center, oversaw both inbound and outbound operations and received the company’s first recognition award for leadership.

Before working at Summit Advantage, Flickinger had various leadership positions at InfoCision, the second-largest privately held teleservices company in the nation, from 2001 to 2013, ultimately managing overall day-to-day operations and a team of more than 125 employees.

She received numerous awards for team development and performance and contributed to the success of her division’s breaking sales records in multiple years.

The Salem resident earned a degree in long-term health care administration from Ohio University.

Smoothie Shop grand opening

The Smoothie Shop, 7403 Market St., will celebrate its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

The shop will offer classic 24-ounce smoothies for $2. The business also will give the 100th customer that day an Apple iPod.

There also will be a ribbon-cutting with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber at 11 a.m.

Ribbon-cutting for Pat Catan’s

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting for Pat Catan’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave., at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The store offers items for custom floral, art, scrapbooking and paper crafting as well as children’s craft supplies.

Pat Catan’s is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. For information, visit www.patcatans.com.

Open house at Barefoot Beach

COLUMBIANA

Barefoot Beach Tanning Salon, 601 N. Main St., will offer an open house with prize and package raffle drawing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the salon’s ribbon-cutting Friday.

Under new ownership, the salon has been remodeled and now features six tanning beds and one red-light therapy bed.
