Calendar sales to benefit domestic violence shelter

NEW CASTLE, PA.

A general sale of 2016 lottery calendars to benefit the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, 1218 W. State St., is underway.

The shelter sells the calendars each year to benefit victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The shelter is the only domestic violence/ sexual assault victim service agency in Lawrence County, and calendar sales helps support numerous free services, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, medical/legal advocacy, counseling and prevention education.
