Three Dog Night show postponed

The Oct. 11 concert by Three Dog Night at Stambaugh Auditorium has been postponed due to a band member’s health problems. A rescheduled Stambaugh date will be announced soon.

Minority business mixer at theater

In conjunction with its upcoming production of “The Colored Museum,” The Youngstown Playhouse will present a Minority Business Mixer on Oct. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the meeting space off the main lobby.
The event is open to the public. Participants will be charged a $30 fee for a “business table” and one ticket to the Oct. 15 performance of the play. There will be wine and light refreshments and samples from local caterers. Additional tickets to the Oct. 15 production can be purchased for $20 apiece. To register, call the Playhouse at 330-788-8739. Space is limited to the first 60 businesses that respond by Monday.
Basket auction at Saxon Club
AUSTINTOWN
The Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, is sponsoring its 25th annual basket auction Sunday to benefit its scholarship fund for Youngstown State University students.
Doors open for bidding at noon, and the auction will begin at 2 p.m. in the club’s ballroom. Auctioneer will be Casey Malone.
Admission is $5, which includes a door-prize entry, hot dog, chips, coffee, pop or water and 25 auction bidding tickets.
