Drug paraphernalia found in crash on Tippecanoe Road

CANFIELD

Deputies with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office found three marijuana pipes inside the car of a woman who was involved in an accident just after 6 p.m. Thursday on Tippecanoe Road at Fairway Drive.

Reports said a deputy was called for a three-vehicle accident and one of the drivers, a 25-year-old woman, was injured and was transported to a hospital.

As the deputy was getting her car ready to be towed, he noticed a strong smell of burnt marijuana coming from inside. He searched the vehicle and found the pipes, reports said.

The woman is to be issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia. An accident investigation is continuing, reports said.
