Islamic Center of Greater Youngstown to host open house

YOUNGSTOWN

In the Valley, the Islamic Center of Greater Youngstown will host an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at Masjid Al-Khair, 1670 Homewood Ave., in celebration of Islamic Day in Ohio.

Tours of the center will be conducted during this time. There will be ethnic foods sale and free blood-pressure screening. Traditional handicrafts, jewelry and clothes will be displayed. This event is open to the public.

The Islamic Council of Ohio, ICO, will celebrate the 28th Islamic Day in Ohio Oct. 10 at the Islamic Center of Cleveland. The theme is “Regaining Humanity, Healing the World.” Guest speaker will be Imam Fouad Saeed and keynote speaker, Sheikh Musa Sugapong.
