Free dental care will be available Friday at Braydich Dental at 45 East Liberty St. in partnership with national nonprofit Dentistry from the Heart.
Dentistry from the Heart offers dentistry to uninsured and underinsured individuals.
Free fillings, cleaning, extractions and denture repairs will be available between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Braydich.
Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so patients are encouraged to arrive early.
Members of the community will provide food, drinks and tents for those waiting in line.
Nursing home patient molested

Gilbert Macali, 26, of Warren, who is accused of molesting a 93-year-old woman who was a patient at Camelot Arms nursing facility on Canfield Road last week, was arraigned Wednesday in municipal court on a charge of gross sexual imposition.
Assistant Prosecutor Jeffrey Moliterno told Judge Robert Milich the victim’s granddaughter and great-granddaughter walked in her room and saw Macali take the woman’s hand and place it on his genitals. Macali then ran out of the room, clocked out, went home and called the nursing home and told them he was quitting, Moliterno said.
Judge Milich gave Macali a $25,000 bond with electronically monitored house arrest if he posts his bond.
The judge also ordered Macali to have no contact with Camelot Arms and to undergo a mental-health evaluation.
Child endangering, prostitution plea
GIRARD
A judge sentenced a city woman to one year’s probation after she pleaded no contest to charges of prostitution and child endangering.
The judge found Lori Parker, 38, guilty at a hearing Wednesday in Girard Municipal Court.
An undercover officer arrested Parker on Friday after she offered him sex in exchange for money, according to a police report.
Police contacted Trumbull County Children Services about the woman’s 1- and 6-year-old children after the officer found unfit conditions at Parker’s North Davis Street apartment.
Zoning dept. moving

Effective today, the city’s zoning department will be moved to the office of community planning and economic development in 20 Federal Place, 20 W. Federal St., Suite 602. All zoning permits can be obtained at the new location starting today.
AFL-CIO dinner today

The Mahoning Trumbull AFL-CIO’s sixth annual dinner begins at 6 p.m. today at McMenamy’s Banquet Center, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road.
Speakers are Ted Strickland, former Democratic Ohio governor who is running for U.S. Senate, and Ed Schultz, national journalist and talk-show host.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Howland, D-13th, also is scheduled to appear.
Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $40.
MCCTC salon opening

Senior cosmetology students at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center will open The Salon at MCCTC to the public beginning today .
Salon hours are 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Students will offer haircuts, styling, manicures, pedicures, facial waxing and facial services.
All services are performed by students under the supervision of their licensed instructor, and prices start at $5.
Paul Mitchell hair products also are available.
Appointments are recommended and can be made by calling the Salon at MCCTC at 330-729-4000, ext. 1310.
Thanksgiving baskets

Stashed in pants

Judge Robert Milich set bond at $10,000 for a North Belle Vista Avenue woman who took a spoon out of the front of her pants and a used syringe and crack pipe out of the back of her pants at 8 p.m. Monday.
Amy Kaminsky, 37, pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Wednesday in municipal court on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a drug-abuse instrument.
Reports said an officer noticed Kaminsky sitting alone in a car at a Market Street building that is known for drug activity, and he asked her what she was doing there.
Reports said Kaminsky told the officer she was waiting for a friend, but another officer saw her stuff something down the front of her pants.
When she was taken out of the car she gave the officers the spoon, then later gave them the other items.
She was booked into the Mahoning County jail.

The North of Madison Avenue Association is having a two-day celebration including food and entertainment.
The group’s “Better Block Celebration” starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday with food and entertainment on Elm Street, just north of the Youngstown State University campus.
Activities including yoga, tai chi, a drum circle and belly dancing will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Also Saturday is a market featuring local makers and artists at 818 Elm St., the future site of a co-op grocery store.
