Boardman woman charged with child endangering

A township woman is charged with child endangering for allegedly leaving her 10-year-old son alone and in deplorable conditions.

Charged is Patricia Brock, 42, of South Avenue. She is scheduled to appear in court later today. 

The charge stems from an incident Wednesday in which concerned citizens told police they saw a young child walking along South Avenue by himself. 

Police located the child walking back to his house, which they reportedly found to be in deplorable condition. Police observed animal feces, water and old food on the floors, according to a report. 

The child was taken into the custody of children services.
