Lawyers spar before jury selections in murder case

YOUNGSTOWN — Attorneys in a murder case in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court today are arguing over a statement by a dead co-defendant before jury selections.

Kalontae Carter, 19, is on trial for the death of Kristopher Stuart, 26, during a robbery on Elm Street in April of 2013.

Carter was to go on trial in May but the case was continued because of evidence issues.
