Rev., Mrs. Libb celebrate golden event

Rachel’s Restaurant in Austintown was the setting for the Aug. 29 celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of the Rev. and Mrs. Russell Libb of Berlin Center.

The event was hosted by the couple’s children, Jess and Melissa Warren of Ellsworth, Noelle Roth of Canfield and Dale and Allison Mitchell of Louisville, Ohio. Six grandchildren complete the family. Other family members also attended.

The former Diane Murray married the Rev. Mr. Libb at Glenwood Primitive Methodist Church on Aug. 20, 1965.

Rev. Libb was pastor at Berlin Center United Methodist Church for 38 years and retired in 2012. He is a Navy veteran.

Mrs. Libb was a cosmetologist, clerical worker and homemaker.

The Libbs visited Mackinac Island, among other travels, in early August as part of their anniversary celebration.
