ASSOCIATIONS
American Business Women’s Association’s Mill Creek, Tri-Gold and Youngstown Charter chapters will celebrate Christmas together at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 with a dinner at the Holiday Inn. Guests will be welcomed at 6. Meal selections are Swiss steak jardianier, chicken marsala or stuffed pork chop, served with mashed potatoes, salad, vegetable medley, roll and butter, coffee, tea or ice tea and dessert. Cost is $27. Reservations were taken. The chapters will take a collection for a worthy local charity as well as host a gift exchange.
CLASSES
Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are welcome. The group also will have a Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at Caffe Capri in Boardman. Members of the classes of 1950 and 1952 are invited. CLUBS
Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club will have a Christmas banquet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Dinner will be served at 7. Reservations are required to Linda Dietz at 330-759-1107 by Tuesday. Benefit recipient for the banquet will be Carmen Miller, a 2-year-old with giant cell glioblastoma. New officers for 2016 will be sworn in at the banquet.
PEO Ohio Chapter CE will meet for a Christmas gathering at noon Wednesday and a business meeting at noon Dec. 16. The Christmas celebration for members and guests will take place at the Tippecanoe Country Club. There will be a performance by the McClellan family. Hostesses are members of the social committee, Kathryn Adams, Jane Cornelius and Karen Matthews. The business meeting will be at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Tim Seman, librarian with the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, will discuss holiday customs. Hostesses are Barbara Hall and Marjorie Patterson.

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will host its annual Christmas social at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at Nicolinni’s Restaurant, 1247 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman. Officers for 2016 will be installed. Take wrapped and tagged donations for a selected family in need. The league is open to all women over 18 residing in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties who are interested in friendship, fun and community involvement. LIBRARY FRIENDS
Friends of the Poland Library will meet for coffee and refreshments at 9:30 a.m. and a program at 10 on Tuesday at the library, 311 S. Main St. Jessica Trickett will discuss “Holiday Fashions of Mid-19th Century to the Present Time.” Hostesses will be Kitty Heineman, Peg Shirey and Ann Trefethern. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are accepted at each meeting for the book cart. The public is welcome. Dues are $10 yearly.
Hubbard Friends of the Library will meet Monday for a 6 p.m. social time and a 6:30 business meeting at the library, 436 W. Liberty St., There will be a review of 2015 activities and plans for 2016. Membership forms for 2016 will be available. The session is open to the public.

Canfield Republican Women’s Club will meet at noon Wednesday for a lunch meeting at A La Cart in Canfield. Major Elijah Kahn, Salvation Army Mahoning County Area Services coordinator, will speak about its services in the community.
