Adele already has sold 2.3M copies of disc

NEW YORK

Adele’s new album, “25,” has sold more than 2.3 million copies in the United States alone during its first three days on the market, a stunning number for a music industry that has seen sales steadily fall in the digital era.

To put that into perspective, only Taylor Swift’s “1989” (released late last year), Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” (released in April) and Ed Sheeran’s “x” (in June 2014) have sold as many as 1 million copies all year so far. Adele’s disc went on sale Friday.

Fox’s Hasselbeck quitting morning show

NEW YORK

Elisabeth Hasselbeck said Monday that she’s leaving as one of the three co-hosts on the “Fox & Friends” morning show to spend more time with her three children.

Hasselbeck was the conservative voice on “The View” before joining Fox News Channel in September 2013. Her co-hosts, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, have been on the morning chat show since it launched in 1998. It is the top-rated morning news show on cable.

She said in a statement Monday that she wants to start the day with her children first. She and her husband, former pro football quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, have two boys and a girl between age 6 and 10.
