Firefighters battle blaze at South Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at a home in the 400 block of West Glenaven Avenue.

A spokesman said a cigarette left on a third floor window sill started a fire.

Several people who were inside at the time managed to get out safely.

The fire is now under control. A damage estimate is not yet available.
