Trooper Daniel H. Jesse has been promoted to sergeant and will transfer from his current assignment in Warren District Criminal Investigations to serve as an assistant post commander at the Southington Post.
Jesse began his career at the Ashtabula post and transferred to Warren District Criminal Investigations in 2013.
While at the Ashtabula post, he earned the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012. He earned the Blue Max Award for recovering the most stolen vehicles in a year in 2009. He earned the criminal patrol award from 2005 through 2011. He was selected post trooper of the year in 2012.
LAWYER
John A. Wilaj Jr. of Cleveland, son of Nicoletta and John Wilaj of Lowellville, recently passed the July 2015 Ohio Bar Examination and was sworn in by the Ohio Supreme Court to practice law in Ohio on Nov. 16.
Atty. Wilaj is a 2007 graduate of Lowellville High School, where he was a member of National Honor Society. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University in 2012, and earned his juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is an associate attorney at Calfee, Halter & Griswold in Cleveland.
