Angels of Easter Seals to serve sweets at annual Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe

Angels of Easter Seals will host its annual Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe on Dec. 9 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave. Mimosas will be served at 10:30 a.m., and brunch will begin at 11:30.

The group has authored four cookbooks, Angels and Friends Favorite Recipes volumes I, II and III and Party Favorites.

The brunch will feature entrees from the cookbooks, and members also will be selling 30 varieties of homemade cookies from the cookbooks during the event.

There also will be a cookbook basket sale, auction in a bag, 50-50 raffle, and centerpiece and cookbook sales.

The members will model clothing from Possessions of Boardman.

Cost is $35, and table reservations are available. To reserve a spot or to purchase an Angels cookbook, call 330-599-5500 or contact any member.

Jacie Ridel, Joan Thompson, Nancy Leicht, Virginia Gerberry and Sally Reedy are event chairwomen.

All proceeds from the event will benefit children and adults with special needs served by Easter Seals and Youngstown Hearing and Speech.
