St. Gianna Beretta Molla Catholic Parish was the setting at 1 p.m. May 23 for the wedding of Emily Plummer and Gino Catena. The groom’s uncle, the Rev. Paul Catena, officiated, and a reception followed at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.

The bride is the daughter of Steven and Suzanne Plummer of Linwood, N.J. The groom is the son of Cornelio and Lauri (Doyle) Catena of Nazareth, Pa., formerly of Youngstown.

The bride wore an ivory gown of embroidered lace over satin that was embellished with Swarovski crystals on the neckline and cap sleeves.

The bride’s mother was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Libby, the bride’s sister-in-law; Casey Engelhardt, the bride’s cousin; and Gabriella and CeCelia Catena, the groom’s sisters. Flower girl was Mary Claire O’Connor, the groom’s cousin. The attendants wore coral-colored dresses.

Eric Au performed duties of best man. Groomsmen were Brian Plummer, the bride’s brother; Gene Catena, the groom’s cousin; Zachary DeMaria; and Preston Kornegay. Kevin O’Connor, the groom’s cousin, was ring bearer.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with minors in English and Spanish and master’s degrees in communication and education from Villanova University. She is a doctoral student in reading, writing and literacy at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Mr. Catena holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Arabic from Villanova. He is a ticket sales associate for the Philadelphia Flyers.

The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica and live in Landsdowne, Pa.
