ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield. Dorothy Palguta Tesner, the OCA’s long-time-treasurer, will discuss “Going Places with the Ohio Cultural Alliance: Iceland.” Cultural enrichment will be provided by the Canfield Community Band. The meal will be prepared by church caterers, under the direction of Phyllis Harmon. Take personal hygiene items, paper products and dry goods for a community project for the Rescue Mission. GUILDS

Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled a meeting of Southington So-Sews at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Southington Christian Church, 3285 state Route 534, for a Christmas party. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host a “Jingle All the Way” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The event will feature a gift giveaway from Santa, music by Rita Busin, and Bill Rotar of Columbiana will discuss “Faith Under Fire.” Cost, including lunch, is $13.50. Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Care Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Youngstown, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S.
