Library Friends to offer chili cook-off

LEETONIA

Friends of the Leetonia Community Public Library will sponsor a chili cook-off from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at the library, 181 Walnut St.

Participants should take a crock pot of chili with a list of ingredients to the library by 11:30 a.m.

It is $5 to participate, and cooks must register in advance; call 330-427-6635.

A lunch of hot dogs, cupcakes and drinks will be available for $3.

A basket raffle will be offered; tickets are $1 each or $5 for six tickets.

The cook-off winner will be chosen by popular vote. Best chili cash prize will be $50.

Chuck E. Cheese to collect Coats for Kids

Chuck E. Cheese locations in Niles, 2082 Niles-Cortland Road SE, and Boardman, 521 Boardman-Poland Road, will be drop-off sites for a 2015 Coats for Kids campaign through Dec. 29.

For each new or gently worn coat donated at each location in November, participants will receive 100 tickets and five free tokens. From Dec. 1 through the close of the campaign on Dec. 29, the special offer for participants increases to 200 tickets and 10 free tokens.
