Letter of support

WARREN

The Trumbull County commissioners have written a letter of support to the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C., in support of the effort by the Western Reserve Port Authority to secure daily air service at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport for the first time since 2002.

Aerodynamics Inc. and SeaPort Airlines have an application pending with the DOT requesting a certificate of public convenience and necessity to begin the service, which would travel between Vienna and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

“If approved in November, this service would allow for a service launch in the March-April 2016 time frame,” according to the resolution.
