Loan repayment workshop offered at YSU

The Youngstown State University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is offering a Student Loan Repayment Workshop at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ohio Room of Kilcawley Center on campus.

The workshops will focus on repayment plans, loan forgiveness programs and borrower rights and responsibilities. While all students are invited to attend, all graduating student loan borrowers are encouraged to attend.

The presenter is Jeff Johnston of Sallie Mae. Among the topics to be covered are keeping good records, knowing your loan portfolio, identifying your servicers, tracking your loans, direct subsidized vs. direct unsubsidized loans, interest rates, grace periods, paying loans off early, deferments, delinquency and default, loan repayment plans and tips for managing loans and finances.
