AUCTIONS

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will be the setting Thursday for a quarter auction to promote awareness and fund research for pulmonary hypertension. The event was organized by PH patient, Nicole Stafford of Vienna. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the auction begins at 6. Proceeds will benefit the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. There will be more than 80 prizes and door prizes. Tickets are $5 and include a bid paddle, soft drink and a door prize ticket. Pizza is $1. St. John Orthodox Church will sponsor a basket auction Sunday at the fellowship hall, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage, Pa. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the drawing will begin at 3. CRAFT SHOWS

Canfield High School senior class will sponsor its 27th annual craft show featuring over 200 vendors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at the school, 100 Cardinal Drive. Class of 2016 students will assist at the event. Proceeds benefit several student activities and school upkeep and upgrades. Parking and admission are free; overflow parking will be directed to the middle school and St. Michael Church. There will be concessions and a basket auction. Possum Hollow Sportsmen’s Club, 352 Possum Hollow Road, Wampum, Pa., will host a holiday craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Bill Smith will feature his chain saw carvings, and there will be other local crafters and direct sales consultants.

St. Jude Women’s Guild is sponsoring its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana. There will be handcrafted and homemade items, a basket auction, bake sale, big-prize raffle and a lunch counter with a varied menu including vegetable beef soup. For applications call 330-482-2351.

RAFFLES

United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has partnered with the NFL Alumni for a 2016 Super Bowl Raffle. The winner will receive a trip for two to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 7, 2016, or a $5,000 cash prize. Second prize will be $1,000 and third, $500. Tickets are $100 each, and only 250 will be sold. The winner will be drawn Dec. 2 at the Lake Club in Poland. Winners do not need to be present.
