SENIOR CITIZENS

AARP Chapter 4611 East will meet Wednesday at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 614 Parmelee Ave., Youngstown. Executive board will meet at 11 a.m. A pre-Thanksgiving luncheon will be served at noon. Members should take covered dishes. Donation is $6 for nonmembers. Nonperishable items will be collected for food baskets. A Christmas lunch and gift exchange will be discussed. Coitsville Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Coitsville Grill, 4178 McCartney Road. Members will order from the menu. Jane Orlo, president, will preside. Plans for a Dec. 7 Christmas party will be discussed. Devotions will be given by Sandy Morelli. November birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. There will be a 50-50 drawing and card bingo.

Croatian Pensioners will meet at noon Thursday at St. George Croatian Center Lodge 66, Vestal Road, Youngstown, for cards and bingo. Liberty 55-Plus will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church, Cardinal Drive, for the annual Thanksgiving catered luncheon with Lee Ann Martyak presiding. Hostesses will be Dorothy Durina and Kay Herberger. Cards will be played. November birthdays will be acknowledged.

Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, Chapter 10, District 2, plans a catered Christmas dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive, Austintown. Public Employee Retirees Inc. Chapter 18 will meet at noon Dec. 1 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman, for the annual Christmas lunch. A buffet will include breaded pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied sweet potatoes, peas, salad, rolls with butter, coffee, tea and cherry cheesecake. There will be a raffle, and a collection will be taken for Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. Cost of the event is $12 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door.
