BBB plans ‘Lunch and Learn’ session

The Better Business Bureau of the Mahoning Valley will have a “Lunch and Learn” program presented by Sheakley on what small businesses should know about professional employer organizations.

The event will take place at noon Dec. 10 at the Better Business Bureau, 201 E. Commerce St., Suite 137.

Italian Marketplace has ribbon cutting

The Italian Marketplace, 1201 Youngstown-Warren Road, recently had a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The store features lines of fine Italian products including pasta, breads and oils and offers a full catering service for parties from 10 to 500. The deli features Boar’s Head selections, gourmet gift baskets, pepperoni rolls and pizza and other daily homemade foods.

The Italian Marketplace is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sundays.

TeleLink celebrates with ribbon cutting

TeleLink LLC, a marketing company for Starion Energy, an energy supplier based in Middlebury, Conn., with operations in Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, recently had its ribbon cutting at its location, 1839 Elm Road.

Salem Chamber will host Small Business Saturday

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate small businesses with a Small Business Saturday cash mob from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29.

A cash mob is a group of individuals who come together and shop local. If you spend $20 or more during the event, excluding gas and grocery items, and enter receipts at Consumers National Bank, Home Savings & Loan, Farmers National Bank, or The Look Nook Gift Shop at Salem Regional Medical Center by Dec. 2 you have a chance to win cash prizes from $50 to $100.

Energy workshop included 150 experts

More than 150 experts in energy storage space shared information and insights at the Northern Ohio Energy Storage and Integration Workshop at the NASA Glenn Research Center’s Mission Integration Center on Oct. 29-30.

The two-day workshop was hosted by NASA Glenn Research Center and sponsored by Team NEO, FirstEnergy, Case Western University/Great Lakes Energy Institute and the University of Toledo.

The dialogue focused on creating a regional ecosystem that would support energy storage and integration for terrestrial and transportation applications.
