Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., will host a free Thanksgiving dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. All are welcome.

Whiskey will be focus of Thursday event

YOUNGSTOWN

PolishYoungstown and the Rotary Club of Youngstown will host a Polish Happy Hour and Beers, Cheers and Gears event from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ryes Craft Beer and Whiskey bar, second floor, 124 W. Federal St. An exploration of whiskey will be offered, with a discussion and guided tasting. Food will be provided by Kravitz Deli.

Niles groups plan Night at the Races

NILES

Niles Rebounders and Relay For Life of Niles will sponsor a Night at the Races on Friday at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first race is at 7.

Cost will be $5 without a horse, or $10 with a horse; sponsor a race for $50. Pizza and salad bar will be included. Gelatin and pudding shots will be for sale. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and alcoholic beverages. All proceeds will benefit the organizations.
