The Ohio Department of Natural Resources reported 16 horizontal drilling permits issued during the week of Nov. 1-7. Two of the permits were issued in Columbiana County and the rest were issued in Belmont County.

The Utica Play has a total of 20 rigs.

Ribbon-cutting set

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Russo’s Pizza, 3556 Main St. in Mineral Ridge, at 10:30 a.m. today.

Rich Russo learned the art of making pizza by watching his grandmother, an immigrant from Italy, and he has been making pizza for more than 40 years.

Russo is retired from the Youngstown Fire Department, where he made pizzas for the firefighters every Friday.

Offer for Angie’s List

InteractiveCorp., the owner of websites including About.com and HomeAdvisor.com, says it’s offering to buy Angie’s List for about $512 million to expand its home-services providers.

The deal would combine similar businesses. Angie’s List lets users research, shop for and rate local plumbers, home cleaners and other home services. HomeAdvisor.com offers resources for home repair and improvement projects.
