Police said a man wanted on a parole violation shot himself about 1 p.m. Tuesday when U.S. marshals came to a home in the 3100 block of Hudson Avenue to serve a warrant for his arrest. The man’s identity is being withheld until his family can be notified by the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office. Capt. Marshals heard the shot, ordered the man out of the home, and when no one answered, went inside. Besides the man, four other people were in the home, Blackburn said.
