Family dinner honors Babbonys’ 65th anniversary

GIRARD

A family dinner honored Mr. and Mrs. Paul Babbony of Girard on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary.

The event took place Oct. 9 at the home of the honorees’ daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Jeff Loew of Girard.

The family circle also includes daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Steve Miller of Hebron, Ind., two grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

The former Elaine Turosak and Mr. Babbony were married Sept. 30, 1950, in St. Hedwig Church in Smock, Pa.

Mrs. Babbony retired in 1993 as health services coordinator in Youngstown city schools. She is a member of St. Rose Church.

Her husband retired in 1992 from Conrail, where he was a yard conductor. He is a member of the American Legion and served in the U.S. Navy.
