‘Defending Jacob’ is discussion choice

SALEM

Salem Public Library’s book discussion choice for Nov. 24 is “Defending Jacob,” written by William Landay. The group will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. in the library’s Quaker Room. No registration is required to participate, and the evening is open to the public.

“Defending Jacob” is lawyer-turned-writer Landay’s third suspense-filled novel. The story falls into the subgenre of courtroom thrillers.
