State arts agency set for meeting at Butler

YOUNGSTOWN

Ohio Arts Council (OAC) staff and members of the leadership team will visit Youngstown to participate in a public meeting Tuesday presented by the Power of the Arts Initiative (POA) at the Butler Institute of American Art.

The meeting will begin with a reception at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

The agenda includes two presentations, a discussion with OAC staff leaders, and a special look at ARTIE (Arts Resources Through Investment and Engagement), the OACs new online grants system.

During the visit to the Mahoning Valley, OAC staff will meet with representatives of SMARTS (Students Motivated by the Arts), Warren City Schools and other civic leaders, visit the Trumbull Art Gallery and take a tour of Youngstown.
