Christman Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium was the setting for the May 23 wedding of Katie Farhang and Clayton Petro. The Rev. Richard Murphy officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony, and a reception followed at the Tyler Grand Ballroom at Stambaugh.

After a honeymoon to Key West, Fla., the couple reside in Cleveland.

Suzie Castner, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tina Esnaashari, the bride’s cousin; Amanda Sacy, the groom’s cousin; Rana Rabei; Dr. Mandy Gleason; Dr. Sara Fraley; Dr. Tasha Posielski; and Dr. Christine Glendon. The attendants wore champagne-colored dresses.

Brett Neely, the groom’s cousin, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Petruska and Evan Leek, the groom’s cousins; Sherwin Farhang, the bride’s brother; Greg Kibler; Jim Sanders; Ryan Coffee; Dan Klempay; Jeff Buzulencia; Dr. Jon Glaab; Dr. Chris Freeman and Dr. Nick Early.

The bride, the daughter of Massoud and Mitra Farhang of Clarkville, Md., earned a doctor of medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University Medical School and is a resident at Emory University in Atlanta.

Her husband, a son of Bernard and Janet Petro of Poland, received a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati Medical School and is a surgical resident at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
