Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will have a takeout cavatelli dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meal includes homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert for $9. Cavatelli with one meatball will be $5. Pasta fagioli will be $6 per quart, and pasta sauce, $5 per quart. Place your order, and remain in your car; your dinner will be delivered to you.

THURSDAY

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

Bloomfield High School Junior Class will sponsor a fish and shrimp dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the high school, 2077 Park Road West, North Bloomfield. Fish dinners are $5.75 and $6.50. Shrimp dinners are $6.75. Carryout orders are available. Call 440-685-4711.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 8 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for freshly made each week potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have a turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meal will also include dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, cranberries, rolls, pumpkin pie and drink. Sit-down and drive through will be available. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Girard Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2172 will have a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the aerie, 26 W. Wilson Ave. A $5 dinner includes spaghetti with two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, coffee or tea and dessert. Proceeds will help the auxiliary purchase lap blankets for wounded warriors in local nursing homes.

SUNDAY

Jackson Township Fire Department and Auxiliary will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the township administration building, 10613 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson. Coffee, tea and orange juice also will be served. There will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle. Carryout is available. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12 and free for kids 4 and under.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Prices are $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. All carryouts are $7.50; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own. The Vestibule Club will have a raffle during the dinner.

Mount Hope Veterans Memorial Park Inc. will sponsor an eat-in or takeout breakfast featuring made-to-order omelets from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Reed’s Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1939 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. Chef Jay will prepare eggs, and the meal also will include sausage, bacon, French toast and home fries. Cost is $10. Proceeds will go to the upkeep, maintenance and restoration of Mount Hope Cemetery.

St. Joseph the Provider School in St. Anthony of Padua Church complex, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a steak fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 14 with a menu of a 12-ounce strip steak, potato, salad, vegetable and dessert. Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will host its annual chicken francaise dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 22 in the church social hall. Cost of $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under will include chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, vegetable, bread, Croatian chicken-noodle soup, dessert, and water, coffee or tea. Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St., Youngstown, will be the site of a San Salvador spaghetti dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. There will be a 50-50 raffle and basket auction. All proceeds will benefit the Gerace Research Centre in San Salvador. The event is hosted by Youngstown State University Geography Club, Geology AIPG Club and Anthropology Colloquium.
