Women United hosts ‘Night of Blues’

Women United is supporting United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley’s Success After 6 Program by presenting a fundraiser, “A Night of Blues,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave. The program focuses on academic success for students in kindergarten through sixth grades with the goal of improving their test scores, behavior and motivation.
Tickets are $75, and reservations must be made by Friday. There will be hors d’oeuvres, open bar from 7 to 10 p.m. and live music. Payment should be sent to United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley, 255 Watt St., Youngstown, Ohio 44505. Call 330-746-8494.
Women Voters group plans fall breakfast

League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will offer a fall breakfast at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at the 4 Star Diner, 168 N. Mecca St. A featured speaker will discuss the Ohio League’s plans for the upcoming elections with updates on state issues and policies.
