“The Librarians” (8 p.m., TNT): As Season 2 of “The Librarians” kicks off, Eve (Rebecca Romijn) and the gang reunite to investigate a mysterious and massive storm plaguing Manhattan. The culprit? Prospero, from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.”

“The Walking Dead” (9 p.m., AMC): Last week’s episode of “The Walking Dead” saddened and angered a lot of fans when a key character appeared to be devoured by zombies. But did he really die? Maybe we will get more intel tonight.

Art auction at the McDonough

YOUNGSTOWN

The McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University will have a live auction of paintings, photographs, sculptures and prints from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Bid paddles are $20 and give the purchaser a chance to win a framed poster featuring members of YSU’s 1993 national champion football team signed by Jim Tressel, then-coach and current YSU president. The paddle can be used for both the live and silent auctions.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for registration. A silent auction and reception with a cash bar will begin at 6 p.m. The live auction, officiated by Jeff Byce, will begin at 7 p.m. The silent auction will resume at 8:15 p.m. with the winning silent-auction bids announced at 9 p.m.

Night at the Races for rescue group

AUSTINTOWN

Friends of Fido & Legacy Dog Rescue will have a Night at the Races at 7 p.m. Friday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road. Admission is $10.

In addition to a silent auction, there will be a 50/50 raffle, lottery tree, food and drinks for sale.
