Friends of Fellows to sponsor holiday open house

Youngstown

The Shop in The Gardens at Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek MetroParks, will sponsor a Holiday Open House from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and next Sunday to set the mood for the coming season. Shoppers will receive a 20 percent discount on all Thanksgiving and Christmas merchandise during the event.

The Shop is at 123 McKinley Ave. and features an extensive selection of merchandise at various price points designed to appeal to all tastes.

The shop underwent renovations earlier this year and features a new look, along with new merchandise including holiday serving pieces, unique place cards, napkins and holiday linens. A wide variety of garden-related and nature-themed items also is available, including a 2016 calendar, “Historic Mill Creek Park 1891-2016,” by local photographer Scott Lanz.

Members of the Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will have the opportunity to attend a preview sale and cocktail party from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday while receiving a 20 percent discount on everything in the shop. Complimentary wine, appetizers and gift wrap will be offered, along with chances to win a Holiday Garden Tour day trip and personalized holiday decor package. Memberships also may be purchased at the door.

Proceeds from the event help to support the gardens and Mill Creek MetroParks.
