Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson: “G-Force Adventure Park” is the theme of sessions planned from 9 a.m. to noon June 22-26 for children from 4 to 12 years old. Activities include the Scripture Zone, interactive Bible lessons, crafts, music, science and snacks. For registration, call the church at 330-538-3936.

Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave., NW, Warren: “Everest” is scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 7-11 starting with dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sessions feature team-building games, Bible songs and snacks. Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to join in at 8 p.m. for Summit Celebration.

Hubbard Community Vacation Bible School: The sessions are scheduled from 9:15 a.m. to noon June 8-12 at First Baptist Church of Hubbard, 59 Orchard St., Hubbard. The nondenominational children’s program is sponsored by Hubbard churches — Central Christian, First Baptist, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Grace Lutheran and St. Patrick. This year’s theme is “Camp Discovery” with activities on the Bible, music, crafts, making friends and snacks. Sessions are for those 4 years old through children who have finished the sixth grade. Register at sponsoring churches. The session will feature two mission projects. The international effort will be collecting school supplies and small toys to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child of Samaritan’s Purse. The local mission is Buckets of Love, a Valley ministry that serves homeless people in the Youngstown area.

New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown: “Jesus, the Real Superhero” is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 15-19 for participants from 5 to 16 years old. The event is free. For information, call the church at 330-747-2125.
